The Lucas 45D Distributor replaced the Lucas 25D in 1975. It appeared in many of the British classics that we know and love, being the most used production distributor in British / BMC vehicles. Being such a popular distributor, our 45D is a big seller for classic car enthusiasts worldwide in points and electronic form.

This Distributor can be Negative or Positive earthed.

The Distributor must be Lubricated Prior to use.

This style of distributor (Lucas 45D4) was fitted to later MGB cars (1975-1980) but now it is available with weights and springs fitted for earlier cars.

When changing to this distributor, it may be necessary to fit later GHT184 HT leads which are a shade longer than the ones for the earlier 25d4 distributor.
