Lower arm Top hat bush in poly to fit all lower arms with twin taper, fitted as standard from around 1965.

These bushes come with a steel tube insert unlike many other types that are available.

The steel tube is there for good reason and fitting new bushes that come without should not be considered.

Originally, these bushes were fitted as one and pressed into place.

This bush type is for easier fitting…you simply remove the old bush and put 1 new top hat bush in from each end…no press needed.

Two are required per lower arm (4 top hats per Mini) - sold as a pair

When fitting uprated / stiffer bushes it is important to replace all at the same time and not leave the can unbalanced.

As a general guide the rating of 60 Shore will imitate original rubber parts hardness for your car.

50, 60, 70 Shore - Typically subframe mountings, replacement of pu foam shock mounts etc. where low NVH (Noise Vibration & Hardness) is a priority and situations where compliance is desirable.

80, 88 Shore - Typically wishbone, radius rod, non coil over shock eye bushes

90 Shore - Typically leaf spring eyes or more heavily loaded wishbones & radius arms, trunnion bushes where replacing rubber

95 Shore - Typically intensely loaded coil over shock bushes, trunnion bushes where replacing nylon.
