Note these Thrust washers are +0.010 Oversize

Oversize crankshaft thrust washer set to suit Triumph Herald, Spitfire and Vitesse engines.
These thrust washers ensure the correct clearance between the crankshaft and the engine block.

If the gap is not correct you will get fore and aft movement on the crankshaft, particularly when pressing the clutch pedal.
If the movement is not corrected then eventually the washers can drop out of the slot where they are held and damage to the engine Block and Crankshaft will occur.
