This part is made from black rubber extrusion and fits into the existing groove located at the leading front edge of the soft top and is designed to provide a seal against water ingress as well as an anti-vibration layer between the roof and the windscreen top rail.

The original seal can be prone to splitting or degrading over time and can even be missing completely, so if yours matches this description then this would make the ideal replacement part.
